South America Argentina Mendoza (cross-Andes transport) 28 June 2022 - The international pass between Mendoza and the Chilean ports of San Antonio and Valparaiso has reopened after closing June 22-24 and again on June 27 due to winter conditions.  During winter restrictions (June 1 - August 31) traffic is only permitted when conditions permit and is limited to 12 hours a day, 9AM - 9PM. The road is frequently closed due to winter storms. Routing cargo this direction will incur additional charges for storage, demurrage and detention if the trucker cannot deliver to the port terminal as schedule due to delay in transit from weather or strikes.

North America US Houston 28 Jun 2022 - Vessel waiting time is 2-14 days due to ship draft restrictions at Barbour's Cut which has increased the number of ships at anchor awaiting berth space. Export receiving windows extremely limited. General trucking capacity is averaging about a week. Chassis deficits are adding to Houston congestion.

Export receiving windows extremely limited. General trucking capacity is averaging about a week. Chassis deficits are adding to Houston congestion.
North America US Oakland 28 Jun 2022 - Terminals will be closed July 4th (holiday) and July 5th (union holiday/Bloody Thursday). Vessel wait time is averaging around 0-3 days at TRAPAC and 8-27 days at OICT terminals due to high import volume, labor availability. Yard utilization is at 90% of capacity. Imports are still being discharged into inaccessible areas until available space opens up leading to delays in import deliveries. There is a deficit of available chassis available each day for use and terminals are restricting or not accepting empty returns. The additional space for empty receiving and loaded container staging at Howard Terminal is at full capacity.

BNSF is using an off-site dray program in Joliet IL for long dwelling shipments at Logistics Park Chicago Intermodal Facility.

Due to terminal congestion, delays are continuing for import rail cargo at Seattle. Shortages of equipment, chassis and gensets and empty return availability at terminals. General truck capacity delays averaging up to 20 days.
North America US Los Angeles / Long Beach 28 Jun 2022 - Vessel wait time on average is around 8 days (Los Angeles) and 5-22 days (Long Beach) due to high import volumes, dwell times, and labor availability. Terminal congestion and trucking queues are restricting ability to retrieve containers during allotted appointment times - if the appointment window expires, truckers will need to secure a new appointment. Shortage of chassis and gensets and it is difficult to secure appointments to return empties. The Port of Los Angeles and Long Beach Container Dwell Fee is on hold until July 1st, 2022. This is separate from individual terminal dwell fee agreements on long dwelling units.

General trucking capacity delays averaging around 10 days. Chassis shortages are delaying pickup/delivery/drayage to/from rail facilities.
Charleston North America  •  US  •  28 Jun 2022 - Vessel wait time is up to 48 hours due to import volume however two new import services will start discharging imports on a biweekly basis at HLT. Europe Spain Spain Jun 21, 2022 - There is the potential for a transport strike to be announced for July 1st from the Spanish transport union (Plataforma Nacional Defensa Sector del Transporte).  If a strike is to be made official, it's unclear whether other unions will join in and the scale of the potential disruption.

Europe Italy Genoa 9 Jun 2022 - The Port of Genova is experiencing severe congestion at all main export marine terminals (Genova Port Terminal, VTE, SECH, Bettolo).  This is impacting all terminal operations, and in particular is limiting the acceptance of loaded export containers.

Europe Russia/Ukraine Complete stop of deliveries into Russia 16 March 2022 - Under current circumstances we cannot continue to operate deliveries into Russia. Effective immediately we can no longer accept any shipments to/from Russian ports and overland delivery to/from Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus. This also applies to transports that were already in transit, until further notice these shipments will terminate in Riga and goods will be held at a local warehouse in Latvia.

South America Chile MSC changes inbound port call in Chile from Valparaiso to San Antonio 23 Feb - Due to congestion issues affecting Valaparaiso the MSC has announced that the port involving the southbound call in Chile will be changed to San Antonio affecting only import discharges. The Northbound call which affects exports will remain out of Valparaiso.
